# Viewing the Map

## See exactly where your work needs done

The *Map* screen provides a geographic view of all tasks, observations, and assets, allowing you to see exactly where work needs to be done.

Each green icon on the map is a pin that marks the location of an item. These can be:

- *Tasks*: Specific jobs to be done (e.g., *'Prune Tree'*, *'Fix Flat'*).
- *Observations*: Notes or issues that have been recorded by your team (e.g., *'Irrigator Leaking'*).

On the top right side of the screen are tools to help you navigate:

- *Search (magnifying glass*) will help you find a specific task or asset on the map.
- *Layers (stacked squares)* switch between map views, allowing you to show or remove specific information, such as Observations or Field Data.
- *My Location (target icon)* will instantly center the map on your current GPS position.
- *Align Map (compass)* will point the map north.

To create a new task or observation directly on the map, tap the large blue *Add Task Button Plus (+)* button. You can then place a pin at the desired location and add the relevant details.
